Finally! The tricky middle section of my next brainchild, a thriller set in the Amazon rainforest, is done, and the summer holidays are coming up too fast for comfort!

It is the time of year when even the publishing houses take a prolonged time-out to go outside and smell the roses, so right now it's down to the wire to get the exciting last bit done in time ...

Yup, you're probably right. I'm not gonna make it – but I'm sure going to give it a go! The only other option is to give way to the Ghost of Procrastination and have my unfinished script hanging over my head like a dark cloud all summer, ruining my own vacation time.

Phew! Problem seen, problem solved! I guess there really is a silver lining to be seen in every obstacle after all ...
