First things first...why did I write my little book?
Coming from the ultra competitive fashion/beauty industry and the business world, I never thought I would be an author, but here I am.
I knew that honesty was a big deal even when I was a little girl.
My mother was a beautiful and talented woman but she didn't believe the truth. She chose to believe the lie so many of us tell ourselves through negative self talk. As her little girl I was heartbroken to see that my mother didn't allow herself to see her beauty inside and out.
Why do we do this? As a makeup artist and beauty advisor I have seen too many women with low self esteems and it is so sad. And then as I worked in the business world I found that not only women but men experienced negative self talk as well.
Why???
Why don't we believe the beauty of who we are which is the truth? Why are we so ready to believe and hold on to the negative?
The truth is that we were created by a loving God who wants us to be brilliant and happy!
