I got the inspiration to write Tenth Stem long before I started it. I wanted to write a book about an old woman and her granddaughter. (Me & mine.)
Somehow the "old" woman, became a young woman who was called "Granny", due to the fact that she'd survived the longest.
Over the course of writing this book, I made a lot of changes. If you think it's graphic now, you should see the original. lol. A lot of changes.
When Tansy (formerly known simply as Ten or Granny), found Betty, again the story changed.
If LGBTQ offends, you might want to exit here.
Betty stepped into the picture, bigger than life. Which, she was literally and figuratively. A temporary stop blossomed into a family. I fell in love with Betty. She took Tansy and Wanda into her heart and transformed their world. From a world of fear and pain, they were able to find acceptance and love.
I've had a few people tell me they'd like to see a sequel. Which the book left a possible future book with the introduction of Ann. Will it come? I've not ruled it out, but I'm also not in any hurry to get it done. If anyone is interested in seeing something more from our girls, let me know.
