I was watching the Hallmark Channel movie, Christmas at Grand Valley with Danica McKellar as she plays an Artist named Kelly.

SPOILER ALERT: Kelly is having a hard time coming up with new art pieces and can’t seem to find her muse… and she goes home to find fresh inspiration and a renewed revelation! Her new paintings of her hometown, her dad’s diner and the community causes an art gallery to take notice and wants to sign Kelly as their residential artist.

I felt like God was speaking to me through that movie.

At times, I can feel dried up. I can feel uninspired and restless. I can look at empty pages and not know what to write. I can read rejection notices from Literary Agents and get discouraged. And I want to crawl into my room and just stop, without any creative juices to continue.

But if I stay in the presence of God...

If I turn to him and give Him my frustrations and failures...

If I accept His unconditional Love and allow Him the freedom to move in my life...

If I know that through Him and only Him will I attain the Promises...

If I understand that my dreams come true only with divine help…

…then I will find my inspiration, again. I will renew my purpose to continue. Going home and spending time with my Heavenly Father is the answer to any problem! And I receive his solutions and blessings over my life and allow his goodness to attract all the inspiration I need to keep going!
