Earlier this week I received the first ever paperback proof of my book. I released the first in the Abbey Mackenzie Cozy Mysteries series, Secrets of Seaforth House, at the end of July as a kindle version. While it has be really rewarding to see the stats go up as people are buying my kindle book and reading it on kindle unlimited, it still doesn’t feel real. Holding a printed copy of my book in my hands for the first time really brought home what I have achieved.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t all perfect. My step-daughter and I are still getting to grips with formatting the front and back covers, and we needed to make some more tweaks to get it perfect. That’s the point of proofs though, right?
We have worked on our cover editing and have tried again. Another proof is due to arrive tomorrow. Fingers crossed that we have it right this time. Then it will be time for a paperback party!

Watch this space for the paperback release. Although, if you can’t wait that long then you can always read the kindle version.
