I have it and if it is like Fatemarked, I know I’ll love it. I read fast so I want a few others in the group to read. I love streaming!

Been looking forward to the third installment! David is right now one of my most-read and beloved fantasy authors, along with Shayne Silvers and Lindsay Buroker. I am glad that David's books have more levity in them now, as the heros and heroines do suffer a lot in order to get where they need to be - or to survive what fate (and villains) throw at them. Gallows humor and sniping in combat are much appreciated, as are non-heroic moments of these amazing characters.
If you are new to David's books: there is more to his epics than 'coming of age' as they also follow a person's growth and character development beyond 'growing up'. I am an older adult and can still absolutely relate to the conundrums and hard decisions - maybe even more so as I have my own share of experience to relate ...
I have laughed out loud, cried and cursed along with David's yarns and believe that is the best an author can give me: world building that makes 'suspention of disbelief' easy, circumstances that are congruent and believable and characters that I care and cheer for as well as villains that I love to hate and as potential allies hate to love!
