War of Words

In this ongoing war of words, modern media constantly bombards us with mixed messages. One prime example are the two terms self-published and author-created. Although they mean the same thing, they both have very different preconceptions.

In this unceasing power struggle of language, one term implies you are receiving something less whereas the other term implies you are receiving something more - something specially made according to the author's unique creative vision.

In the way that 'The Lord of the Rings illustrated edition' has been sold as a very special edition due to it being illustrated by the author himself. This makes this particular book release, which contains the complete text and features, for the very first time, thirty illustrations, maps and sketches drawn by Tolkien himself as he composed his epic work, a very special edition indeed.

I'm proud to say that 'The Worlds of the Dead' contains numerous author-created artworks. This includes multiple illustrations, including cover art, interior art as well as maps, including the Soul Map - a diagram of the underworld itself.

Creating art is a highly personal act, and having complete creative control over the entire creative process means that the end product can more closely match your original creative vision.
