Attention. Sept. 26

I read this verse in my Bible and thought about something: “God gets their attention and commands that they turn from evil.” – Job 36:10

I was planning on having time with God only to have my attention diverted to the Internet. Well, suddenly, the Internet went down. It wasn't storming out. There was no natural reason for the Internet to be out. I restarted the server; the restarted my computer. Nothing. Still down.

And then, it finally hit me! God was trying to get my attention! I felt an instant conviction, put my laptop away and re-focused my priorities, realizing what was most important.

How does God get your attention?

I would encourage you to keep a lookout on how God is getting your attention. It doesn't have to be anything negative - though God does turn negatives into positives. It could be an encouraging text from a friend as a reminder that Heaven loves you. It could be an extra shift at work so you can get overtime pay as financial favor. It could be a complimentary dessert from your favorite restaurant as God's nod in your direction.

So, let’s cheer to God for getting our attention so we can stay focused to the light and the love of the Savior.

If you need prayer, let me know. I would love to pray for you!

**This is my last blog post… for a little while. Travis and I are taking a 21-day hiatus with the Lord. We will spend this time in prayer, interceding for others, digging into the Word and expectant of God's divine movement! I’ll be “back” next month! ***
