That First Blog...

What to write... I mean, really, what's a good topic for a first blog? Do I just start out with, "Hello everybody!" and go from there? I guess that works, but it sounds too obvious.

I could immediately start listing the things that I plan to write about in the blog, like information about my books, what's going on as I write the next, or even add an amusing anecdote about how my first pass on Zen's Heritage, book 2 of the Zen Chronicles, included a scene in which a dwarf gives one of the characters a solute instead of a salute. I could elaborate on that by saying that we had a good laugh during editing when I was brought several cubes of bouillon and some salt.

Maybe it be preferred if I write more about my first book, Arawn's Quest, and work up to information on the others. It has been out for over a year now, and is, for all intents and purposes, free to download on amazon as of today. If I started there, I could explain that I'm currently working on collecting my scattered reviews and data on it so I can submit the novel for inclusion on the bookshelves at Barnes & Noble. I am really excited about that, after all.

Well, seeing as how I've got nothing I can think of, it would probably be best if I just step away for now and come back next week with a more appropriate, properly written blog post. Until then, I'll focus my attention back on Children of Destiny while we put the final touches on the working covers for Northwinter Press on Facebook.
