September Reading Wrap Up

Fall is now in full swing! And I have definitly been feeling a need to read some mystery/fall time books. Last month I read a total of 11 books, all in all not a very exciting reading month, though it was an exciting month in other ways. And speaking of exciting, it’s taken me forever to write this post because I’ve grown a bit bored with the way I do my wrap-ups. So I think for next month I’ll be doing something different. If you do a wrap-up post leave a link to yours in the comments, I’d love to get some inspiration from you all!

2 Stars: The Girl and The Goddess & Uncanny Valley

Both of these books were just not my thing. The memoir I found boring and the poetry was too much like prose formatted like poetry, which is a big writing pet peeve of mine.

3 Stars: Wow No Thank You, Animal Vegetable Junk, Arm of the Sphinx & Plain Bad Heroines.

Of all of these books I was the most interested in Arm of the Sphinx, which I definitly feel suffered from sequel syndrome. It was interesting, but not as good as the first book.

4 Stars: The Well of Ascension, The Book of Eels & Pat of Silver Bush

It was really fun to reread the Pat of Silver Bush duo. For the longest time they were my favorite of all Montgomery’s books, but I hadn’t read them in over ten years, probably longer. I still enjoyed the two books, but I don’t think they’re my favorites anymore. I’ll be sure to review them soon.

5 Stars: Like A Mother & Nightbitch

Both of these books were excellent. It’s been a while since I read a new release but the cover of Nightbitch really interested me.

What did you read in September? Let me know, I love getting inspired to read new books from other people’s posts!
