End of Days Diary - Day 2
So things didn’t go back to normal…this sick joke is permanent it seems. The zompocalypse is here and hit the US last night like a bug on a windshield. Happy Freaking Halloween.
But I finally left my apartment!
Okay fine, I only looked out the door, but to a recluse like me, that’s progress. I live on the top 4th floor of my building and honestly, I can pretty much see everything from up here.
So I just checked my street again, it’s empty. I see dead people laying there, at least I think they’re dead? I’m not sure how smart these zombies are if they’re just baiting us to walk past them and get at our brains.
Although, I haven’t actually seen that happen. I did watch the news this morning (thank God we still have the news) and apparently, the zombies are attracted to noise. SOOO…guess I’ll just keep quiet from here on out. Luckily, I have my headphones, but I’m still too scared to actually not pay attention to my surroundings.
Oh! One of my subscribers, @Psiopium, messaged me last night and asked if I have food and other supplies.
Yes, I do. And I hope you do too. My roommate just went shopping last week as well so…sadly…I get her stuff too.
If you have followed me for a while, you know that the only family I really have is my Aunt Joan in Wyoming, some 2000 miles away. I haven’t been able to get a hold of her, but I’ll keep trying, so more to come on that.
Except for Donna, I feel pretty alone, and oddly that makes me feel really safe. For those of you who don’t know…Donna is my red-eared slider, and for those of you who don’t what that is…she’s my turtle. At this point, she’s all the company I need. I really just wanna lay low and hopefully get through the week.
But I can’t just sit here forever, and I know that…so maybe tomorrow I’ll try going out into the hallway or knocking on my neighbor’s door. As of this morning, the only things I’ve heard are sirens and screams…and those don’t last long.
Anyways, it’s dinner time, so, Donna and I are gonna eat, then I’m scarfing down some desperately needed candy. You should too if you get the chance.
Happy Halloween everyone, it truly is the scariest yet.
Again, I plan to post everyday around 5pm. I hope and wish the best for you all out there, please stay safe, keep your cool, and God bless.
