Being a fellow slow-burn author, today I’m highlighting Mariana Zapata 😍 And one of the reasons I want to highlight her comes from a post I saw the other day about mentors. You don’t have to know someone personally for them to serve as a mentor to you. If you like what they’re about, you look up to them, and you want to achieve similar things, they can simply be a silent mentor. Follow them, learn from them, study them (you know, in a non-creepy way 😁). Mariana and I don’t know each other personally and I love that she’s also a slow burn author. I’m doing my best to surround myself with both authors and readers who also enjoy slow burn. So, I quietly learn from her because I genuinely enjoy her work, her approach to her author business, and her as a person. I encourage you to do the same for yourself in your own life. If you love slow burn and you’re not already part of her community, go check her out. 😊⠀⠀

As a reminder of what #WomenCrushWednesday is for me, it’s my way of celebrating and honoring women in this community who, in my opinion, are CRUSHING it! Some of these women I know personally and some I don’t. Some like me and what I’m about and some may not…and that’s okay. They don’t have to like me for me to recognize and appreciate how beautifully they’re showing up in the world and doing their thing. This also isn’t about reciprocation. This is simply about me wanting to highlight women who are working their tails off, doing their thing, and shining their light in their way.
