here I am
Hello from Becky as I explore all things: get the books out.
What a lovely opportunity to touch base with you and keep you in the loop of my process.
Both of my books are written and with the publisher, Motina Books. This book, book #1, will be released 2/22/22. What a great day.
I'm currently sitting in my camper van, Towanda, on a beach in the Far North of New Zealand. Part of the motivation for this trip was to listen to the mastered version of the audio book before it goes to my publisher, to become part of the Audible collection.
With also being a podcast host, admittedly, there has come a time where listening to my voice is not something I particularly enjoy.
I will say, however, that listening to the audio book of Death and its Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Beautiful Lessons ((again)) has been a very affirming experience for me.
I reckon authors will always harbor a fair amount of doubt about how people will receive their writing. As I listen to this book and can sense the occasional emotional tremor in my voice or the light giggle, I'm brought back to the powerful emotions this content conjures and for a moment I think, "This is going to serve people well."
Certainly one can hope. That is the reason behind this project. To facilitate deeper understanding of oneself and an opening towards end of life.
There's an excitement building because this work feels important for the greater good. It's also a great learning curve for the release of the second book and possibly, later, a novel I have written based on a controversial scenario surrounding death. Before, pitching my work, felt so ego based. This book feels like it rests totally outside of me and is all about the mission.
I sure hope you find it when it's released. You can preorder the Kindle version now on Amazon. But don't worry, it will be there waiting for you.
Oh and if you want to follow along, you can find me on Instagram @deathdialoguesproject and FB.
More later,
Becky
