Fran Sir Kevin...If I could time travel, I would love to spend one or two weeks with my ancestors during the Roaring Twenties in old New York. I envision time with my great-grandparents, grandparents and mom and dad. I would love to watch the ice-man deliver a block of ice to place under the ice box to keep food from spoiling. The first telephone on the block...wow! Neighbors would receive calls on my grandpa's telephone. The mix of wagons, trolley cars and early Fords on the street... a trip to vaudeville.... the family gathered around, listening to the radio....a ride on the Cyclone in Coney Island if transported to 1927 when the ride opened. Then, I would click my heels together...there is no place like home! And there you have it!

Peter So many times and places I would wear the time machine out. I have a thing for America during the 50s rock and roll era. Then going far back to see the pyramids being built, the royal courts of Europe, ancient Rome, Arsenal last winning the league.

Thanks for using the image and I'm glad you found it useful.

Arsenal winning the league again, Peter? We could travel back in time to pick up Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp and David Seaman in their prime. Then we'd go further back and collect Charlie George! : )

There are far too many times and places for me too: I'd love to watch dinosaurs from a safe distance, see the pyramids being built, have breakfast with Charles Dickens, lunch with Oscar Wilde, and dinner with Muhammad Ali...

Nilanjana Haldar Peter, thanks for doing this for Kevin's book. I can't wait to read it someday : )

Intruding into your conversation with your friends, Kevin:

"watch dinosaurs from a safe distance"<----made me chuckle : D

You actually want to watch the Pyramids being built? Many years.

You'll have to travel back and forth between Norfolk and Egypt many times then.

Thank you, Nilanjana!
Re. the Egyptian pyramids, I wouldn't sit on the sand and observe the entire project from start to finish! : D
I'd enjoy the thrilling spectacle for the entirety of one day; ideally at a crucial stage.
