MIRAM ASQUITH WINS MARCOM AWARD, AND A NEW AUDIO BOOK TOO!
Happy Holidays everyone! From my last blog, you may recall that my newest novel, The Foresight of Miriam Asquith, was being released in November, 2021. Well, now it’s December and the new novel has indeed dropped. But that’s not all, it’s also an award-winner.
The novel won a Gold MarCom Award at the 17th Annual MarCom Awards based in Dallas, TX. The MarCom Awards are a national and international competition that recognize the best in marketing and communications. Each year, the MarCom Awards receive an average of over 6,500 entries from corporations, advertising agencies, film production companies, and individuals throughout the United States and around the world. From these entries, only a small percentage of winners receive either Platinum, Gold, or Honorable Mention recognition. The award show is administered by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals (AMCP) and the award itself is manufactured by the Society Awards, makers of the Golden Globes, MTV Awards, Emmys, CLIOS, and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The Foresight of Miriam Asquith won its Gold Award in the category of Creative Writing/Novel. If you’ll allow me a moment to brag, all five of my previous books published by TouchPoint Press have been national and international award-winners between the MarCom Awards and Hermes Awards, another highly respected marketing and communications competition.
Meantime, my 2017 novel, The Thing With Margot, is now an audio book and is available at audible.com. This makes two of my books that are available at audible.com, The Thing With Margot, and my 2013 multi award-winner, Substitute Angel; an especially great listen right now since most of the story takes place in snowy northern Michigan between December 1 and December 24.
So, take your pick for either yourself or someone on your Christmas list. You can enjoy a great paperback or e-book read with The Foresight of Miriam Asquith. It’s a compelling WWII romance set in England with an Agatha Christie-like who-done-it twist. Or for the road, you’ve got two audio book choices: The Thing With Margot, where you’ll go around the world in an action romance featuring a Disney-type girl next door who happens to be a deadly assassin, or, Substitute Angel, where a beautiful but injured angel from heaven recruits an agnostic paramedic to stop a murder in a small Northern Michigan town. Whichever you choose, you and yours will enjoy hours of escape and entertainment.
Finally, while I’m certainly grateful all my readers everywhere, a special shout out and thank you to readers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. I’m SO appreciative of your support!
Once again, happy holidays and stay safe out there.
