New Release
HappyMonday BOOKERS!
I am thrilled to announce the release of Finding Love in Cedar Falls. It's available in all three formats...kindle, paperback, and hardcover. Please find an excerpt below...
Looking around, Arthur said, “So, this is the famous bookstore?” He stepped further in the store.
Romi dropped the books she had in her hands. She knelt down to pick them up, “Hello, Arthur.”
Clara spun around quickly, moving toward her, and asked, “Romi, who is this?” Clara thought Theo was the living end, but Arthur…he wasn’t quite as tall as Theo and had spiky brown hair and brown eyes. Man, he was good-looking, as well.
“This is Arthur, Theo’s brother.” Looking up from collecting the books off the floor, she asked Arthur, “How did you find this place?”
“When I heard you mention Cedar Falls, I just looked up bookstores. You have the only one in town,” Arthur smirked. “I must say, I can definitely see why Theo likes it here. The peacefulness of the town is welcomed after the fast-paced life in the city.” Arthur noticed Romi was a little on edge, “Did I come at an inconvenient time?”
“We are just about to close,” Clara responded as she finished picking up the books left on the tables.
“Oh, I didn’t realize,” Arthur explained. “It took me all day to decide to finally drive up here.”
Just then, the lyre on the door strummed as Theo pressed into the store. “Hey, Princess, I’m sorry…” was all he was able to get out when his gaze clashed with Arthur’s. He had a bouquet of roses in his hand for Romi. As he moved across the floor, handing Romi the flowers, Theo continued, “These are for you. I’m sorry I was away so long. I got things all sorted out.”
Taking the flowers from Theo, Romi hugged him, “These are lovely, thank you. I missed you, but I’m glad you have it all under control now.”
Clara sensed the tension in the room and said, “Theo, Arthur just arrived. Isn’t that a pleasant surprise?”
“Yes, brother, dear,” Arthur stated sarcastically, “I decided to come and see why you like Cedar Falls so much. I must say, the small-town feeling is very appealing.”
Romi still seemed a bit on edge but mentioned, “Clara and I have to close the store. You are welcome to wait inside while we finish things up.”
Theo shook his head, “I’ll meet you at the diner. I’ll take Arthur with me. See you in a little while.” Theo walked to Romi and dropped a light kiss on her cheek. Turning back to Arthur, Theo grabbed his arm, “Come on, let’s give them a minute to close up.”
“Fine,” Arthur grunted jerking his arm out of Theo’s grasp and followed Theo out onto the street.
They no sooner got out the door when Theo rounded on Arthur, “What in the world are you doing here? I told you to back off. Romi doesn’t need any extra drama in her life. Things are complicated enough.”
“Oh, no you don’t,” Arthur fired back. “Why are you in such a hurry for me to get away from her. What exactly does she mean to you? And why do you call her princess?”
“Uh-uh, I’m not doing this with you. You can have dinner with us tonight…then I want you gone,” Theo demanded.
“I go where I please, big brother, or have you forgotten that? I’ll leave when I’m ready,” Arthur declared.
Theo turned and stormed to the diner with Arthur following behind him. He did not like the fact Arthur decided to crash things here in Cedar Falls. Why couldn’t he just leave him alone?
