Yearly Wrap Up 2021

I read 74 books in 2021.

24 romance

19 erotica

9 non-fiction

5 horror

7 classics

2 cozy mysteries

3 dystopia

1 thriller

1 graphic novel

1 epic fantasy

And 12 of the romance books were Zoe Chant. It was a very Zoe Chant heavy year.

Okay! Best books of 2021

Worst Books of 2021

Well, I’m not exactly sure what this mish-mash of books says about me as a human. It’s pretty eclectic.

Darcy Coates has a book on both my best and worst lists. And one of my absolute favorite authors, Paul Tremblay, managed to make the worst list.

Best list has 2 non-fiction, 1 classic, 1 romance, 1 horror, and 1 thriller.

Worst list has 2 non-fiction, 1 romance, 1 erotica, and 2 horror.

That’s it for me! It was pretty good reading year. It was a solid writing year too. I published 5 books (3 erotica, 1 romance, 1 horror). I’ve made decent money in both KU and Kindle Vella.

For 2022, I have lots of plans for reading and publishing. I’ll probably pull back on arcs and blog tours. I did a lot of those this year and many of the books I received arcs of ended up being 1 stars or DNFs for me. Although Music of the Night was an arc I received via blog tour and that was one of my absolute favorites of the year.

What were your best and worst reads for 2021? Have you read any of these books? Let me know 🙂

It was so good! It's amazing that Andy Ngo is still reporting on them after everything that happened to him. He's an absolute hero.
