My Most Read Authors of 2021

I saw Earl Grey Books do a post detailing their most read authors of 2021 and I thought that was a really interesting idea. So full credit for the idea goes to Earl Grey and you can check out that blog here.

Okay! So my most read authors of 2021.

1) Zoe Chant

Coming in at number one by a landslide is Zoe Chant. I read 13 Zoe Chant books this year. This was the year that I discovered shifter romance and as silly and fluffy as it is, these books make me really happy. They are pure escapism and they are absolutely ridiculous and I’ve been devouring them.

2) Emily Hurricane

Emily Hurricane writes under a ton of different pen names (Arlene Tempest, Iris Trovao, and Alice J. Taylor just to name a few), so when I say I read 12 Emily Hurricane books, I’m counting any book under any of her pen names. Emily Hurricane writes across many genres and is overall just a very prolific and uniquely creative person and I adore basically anything that woman writes.

3) Lucy Luscious/Ruby Kiss

Emerald Baynton writes under both of these pen names (as well as a couple others) and she was my third most read author this year. I read 4 books by her: The first three books in the Discovering Desires series and her contemporary romance Language of Love. I’m also about halfway through her other contemporary You Can’t Go Home Again, but since I’m not quite done I’m not counting that one.

4) Joseph Conrad

I have mixed feelings on Joseph Conrad. I find his stories compelling, but in the worst ways, a product of their time. That doesn’t mean they aren’t still worth reading. They just have to be read with a critical eye. This year I read three Joseph Conrad stories and a graphic novel adaptation of Heart of Darkness.

That is it for me. My most read authors area bit eclectic. Who were your most read authors this year?
