I’ve enjoyed a public media ministry–articles, books, blog posts, and newsletters–for decades. I’ve deeply appreciated the many who have contacted me to say how helpful my writing is. I also have welcomed constructive criticism, because I learn a great deal from that as well.
Recently a number of things fell together to convince me that I need to take a sabbatical from public ministry. It’s one thing to write about what it means to love God and neighbor; it’s another to live it. This is a season I believe I am called to live it more deeply, and that means eliminating as many distractions as possible.
For now, I am leaving up a few posts on my newsletter, Peripheral Vision. But I won’t be adding new posts for the time being.
