Road to Restoration

“How important is God’s voice to you?

How important is Divine direction to you?

Do you value your spiritual sensitivity?“

And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet… And his name was Mephibosheth. 2Samuel 4:4

Many times, things don’t turn out in life the way we desire. Our lives and destinies are in the Hands of God, as He alone has lived our entire future even before we arrived on earth. He has the power to handle what can befall us in the future; things we may never even imagine.

Take a look at the life of the young man called Mephibosheth. He was the son of Prince Jonathan, the son of King Saul, Israel’s first king. Mephibosheth had everything going for him. He was wining and dining with his father and grandfather in the palace.

Mephibosheth was born into palace life. He never experienced any form of difficulty. Whatever he wanted was made available at the snap of the fingers. He was the cherished son of a prince. And as long as that was, he never foresaw a future without the bliss he experienced daily.

He was born great, with the blood of royalty flowing through his veins. If everything went well, Jonathan should have been the next king of Israel after his father Saul, and Mephibosheth would have been the third generation king after his father, Jonathan.

This is the line of thought every Israelite knew. But things didn’t play out that way, unfortunately. In a twinkle of an eye, everything changed around Mephibosheth. He was soon going to move from the rosy life of the palace to something worse than a servant could experience, something he never dreamed could ever happen to him.

“We see this in hundreds of people around us. They were in a place where life was good and blissful. They never thought there could come a time in their lives when things wouldn’t be that way, until suddenly, something happened that toppled their dreams and aspirations.“

If you have found yourself in that position, I have good news for you: God is about to reposition you in the right place where you belong, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
