Good afternoon to all! I am still working on Book 3, but it has been slow going. The final chapter in the Hawkins saga is building to pretty exciting conclusion.

That being said, I wanted to share with you all a bit of personal ephemera. A pull back of the curtain, so to speak, into part of the process for me. It's a short, snippet of a playlist that I listen to while writing. This list is by no means complete and comprehensive, but it gets the juices flowing and into the mindset of a post-apocalyptic survivor trying to keep his family safe and alive.

The best genre of music for this, for me, is Original Orchestral Soundtracks for movies and a couple of video games!
- The Lord of the Rings (Fellowship, Two Towers and Return)
- Twister (a good one for despair and struggle)
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- The Avengers
- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (Love this one!)
- Dragon Age: Origins
- All of the Star Wars Albums and pretty much everything by composer John Williams
- The Planets Suite by composer Gustav Holst (I absolutely LOVE, Mars, and Jupiter!) I would put those on loop while writing the fight scenes in both Home Bound and New Homestead!
- Any of the Pirates of the Caribbean Albums
- Back to the Future (1 & 2 not 3 so much)
- Terminator 1 &2. The main themes REALLY get me in the mind set for post-apocalyptic survival!

Ultimately my playlist is about 14hrs of soundtracks and classical pieces to keep me focused!

This is just a smattering of music that I listen to while I write. It keeps the little dancing guy in my head occupied so I can focus on the story.
