Why the dogs??  Why?

If I hadn't been obligated to watch this movie, it would have gotten turned off immediately.  Involving the dogs crosses my line of tolerance.

Yet, I watched it.  I had been warned that the movie was gross, which I'm grateful for, because I think that allowed me to put up the necessary filters in my brain to get through this movie.  The plot is fairly simple: researchers in Antarctica find alien thing, it tries to do whatever it is it wants to do, they...
