Welcome to my 1st blog on goodreads. I hope that you have either enjoyed my book or will enjoy it soon. Many people ask why I wrote my book. I have always wanted to write a book and never knew what to write about. My husband and I had always dreamed of having more than 1 child but found out while pregnant with my daughter that we both have the CF gene. We made a very tough decision that our daughter would be our only due to this. This was hard for me and to help I joined a FB group of other parents who also have only one child. In this group I found that many parents wanted books about only children but could not find many. This sparked my idea. Since it was Covid and I was working from home so I took the time to make this happen. My hope is to make Melinda the One and Only a series. My focus will not always be the Only child aspect but the character will stay an Only child.
