What happens next?

I published my first book, 'Into the Storyverse', an innovative blending of story and verse, in July 2020. So what happens next? For me it is the obvious thing, write another book, but that is not a simple thing. I have chosen to continually explore different genres. It is not the way to become a commercial success but getting rich by writing was never a priority. Having said that I do want to get my first book into the hands and hearts of readers. Maybe you can help me by writing a review for me if you have already read my book.

So why do I want to write in different genres? Simple really. There are many ways to tell a story. There are many stories out there waiting to be discovered. As a writer I just want to explore what's out there in the world and produce fiction with what's in me. Everyone has a spark of creativity beneath surface waiting for the right conditions to ignite.

I have things I would like to share about discovering the spark of creativity that we all can tap into but I am reluctant to set myself up as an expert because I am not. I have learned a lot of things since starting this journey as a published author but I am still a beginner.

I enjoy exploring the natural world by foot, by mountain bike or by kayak. There are a lot of inspiring things that you can find out there. I think the important thing to do is to leave behind any preconceived expectations. Relax, stay in the moment and you will find that you will make connections that you would not have noticed previously.

If you want to learn about writing there are lots of places you can do that. You can do a masterclass or join a writing group. I recommend that you do. But ultimately we all learn from each other regardless of our skill level or experience.

Where are you on your writing journey? What happens next?
