Allison Mack was a first-line slave and master in DOS, a secret sorority within NXIVM. She plead guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges (clearing that up since some false info is going around).

When I began working on “Allison,” and since it has been published people have asked why I chose her as a subject, why I chose poetry as the medium.

Poetry lends itself so wonderfully to the layered nuance of complex psychological and ethically complicated stories and experiences. It is not just meant to be pretty; poetry should challenge us to look beyond.
