Book Three of Godkiller Chronicles
Been a while since I posted, and a few things have happened since. The third book of the Godkiller Chronicles is out:

The series has been doing well, particularly on Vella, which quickly became a major source of income, although that's mainly because Amazon is throwing money at authors trying to expand the serialized-story service. We'll see how long that will last.
Still working on Siege (Book 6 of Eternal Journey). It isn't finished yet, but hoping to wrap it up this month for a July release. Finishing the series took more work than expected.
After that I'll probably release a new LitRPG through Vella, followed by Godkiller Chronicles 4. The mil-sf/fantasy project is on hold after having some medical issues that have reduced my writing input (nothing serious, just lots of time-consuming treatments). Hoping that this summer I'll be able to revisit it.

Sorry for now answering this sooner (Goodreads has been terrible at notifying me of new messages). I'm doing pretty much what you suggest with Vella. Unfortunately, when I did Godkiller Amazon wasn't allowing you to publish on Kindle unless you closed the Vella story, which is why I had to make a new one for the sequel (they have changed that policy since then). Some thoughts on Amazon placement that is working for other authors:
1. Make each Vella story/hero (Godkiller) an unending single thread. Run several threads to have freedom on what you write about.
2. After sitting in Vella a month or two, publish 30-60 posts as a book for $4.99.
3. When you have a trilogy then publish the 3 books together for $9.99.
