Biography of Sorts

"Every saint has a past...Every sinner has a future," Oscar Wilde.

Without exception, I resemble this truism in so many ways.

Life has come at me hard over the last few years. Invaluable life lessons when
when written into books will fill a library.

Rising to the top of my profession in under ten years, I managed to hold that spot for roughly fifteen years
before the economic powers that be pulled the rug out from under me. In the course of two years,
I went from riches to rags in every sense of the word.

Starting over is hard, but not impossible. Surrounding yourself with people whose achievements
are much greater than your own is a good place to start. People who believe in you is critical.

Throwing yourself unselfishly into the lives of those in homelessness and addiction
makes one appreciate second chances, redemption and hope. I can't stress that enough.
I'm hopeful through my writings I can bring awareness and financial support to
those in my circle whose lives hang in the balance.

May my greatest works in this reinvented life consist of giving away to the next generation
what has cost me so much to learn in this road now traveled.
