Good post! I agree with your points completely. I have written both stand alone books and a series. The last book of a series is extremely hard to write because you must wrap up all the loose ends from multiple books while remembering everything that happened, settings, relationship issues, and more. In reviewing indie books, the series rarely gets finished well.
