The path forward from here
I currently have a number of irons in the fire:
I recently wound down the beta reading process for Book 3 in my sci-fi series, This We'll Defend. As such, I'm in the middle of doing a read-through and applying feedback.
I'm also in the process of writing a companion piece for the sci-fi series, currently titled Chrysalis. It's effectively book 3.5 and chronologically overlaps the end of This We'll Defend and the fourth book in the series. Chrysalis is told from Morgan's perspective, not Eric's, and takes place on one of the British Systems worlds. Thematically, it's a bit of a departure from the main series as well. A few early readers commented that it reads more like some of the earlier books in Ian Fleming's James Bond series due to the focus on espionage. Hopefully people will enjoy me rounding out Morgan as a character a bit more.
Dusk Knight's sequel is also in the works. I've written a few chapters in Midnight Sun already, but hit an impressive wall of writer's block with it that resulted in me pivoting to Chrysalis. I've got a decent idea of what I did wrong, so once I get Chrysalis to beta, I'll be coming back with a chainsaw to reshape the last chapter I wrote for Midnight Sun.
Outside of writing, I'm looking into setting up an actual blog/site. FB apparently deciding they're going to delete my account for posting funny memes and making up BS reasons to justify doing so made finding a better way to communicate with my readers a fair bit more urgent.
