Homeschooling fun!
It's been very exciting discussing home education with so many different people. I hope everyone catches my interview on Deb Fillman's The Reason We Learn Podcast, because that really laid it all out (and is available on YouTube now). But if not, I'm going to be on Steve Hilton's show and doing a interview with Moms for America soon.
I've been at this for over 10 years now and my kids are excelling way ahead of their peers. When I first started homeschooling it wasn't a political move, or some chosen method; the school district in our area lost accreditation and it was the only option for my children to receive the best education possible.
Both my husband and I work. We do tag-team teaching and place lessons around our schedules. Having that flexibility is something many parents can't even fathom, but it's a wonderful method to help kids understand that learning doesn't start and stop in a classroom, it's a lifestyle.
That's what Homeschooling on a Budget is all about!
