I only became aware of Goodreads after someone took it upon themselves to post my ebooks here.

That was about a year ago. I joined so I could upload newer covers and fix errors associated with my books.

I entertained vague aspirations of reaching out and trying to connect with the good folks here but it wasn't in the cards for me.

Goodreads caters to a sophisticated gathering of confirmed bookophiles. That was the impression I initially perceived and it still holds true. You folks take your reading very seriously.

I admire that.

I admire that but I write for a less robust readership that apparently enjoys a quick and easy diversion without a lot of fuss.

That's just the way things stack up with me.

So after a few tentative attempts at broadening my contacts here I stepped away from actively networking here.

I do want to say I appreciate whoever took the time to post my ebooks here. And I appreciate the honest feedback I receive.

I write light books but I don't take my writing lightly. It means a lot to me and I am grateful to live in a time and place that allows me to indulge my passion and have my work reach so many willing readers.

When I think of all the many great writers of the past who never garnered any attention until years after they were gone I am truly humbled.

I write within my ability. That's the best I can do. I'm a simple writer who enjoys what I do. I hope you do, too.
