Marion Davies is being featured everywhere
Hello Readers, have you noticed that Marion Davies is popping up here and there and everywhere?
After being pretty much forgotten and dismissed by Hollywood and history, she is being rediscovered.
She was featured in the 2020 movie MANK, and two books about her came out in 2022, including THE BLUE BUTTERFLY and now she will make an appearance in Damien Chazelle's new movie BABYLON coming out December 23, 2022.
On top of that I have early word that she is the STAR OF THE MONTH for Turner Classic Movies (TCM) for January, 2023. She's never been honored in this way before. All or most of her movies will be screened that month.

I enjoyed The Blue Butterfly. Growing up in California it seemed that if anyone was going to go tour Hearst Castle that it couldn't be mentioned without saying its was where Hearst brought his mistress Marion Davies, even though their lives and the height of her career were decades before I was born.
