Excited? Trepidatious? Stoked?

I want this to be an honest blog, and the honest answer... deflated. :(

I gave all I could in writing it. I pumped money into editing and promoting it (too much really), and I've not got much left to give. It is what it is now.

I paid people to read it (my professional betas).

I gave it away for free (my ARC readers).

Now, finally, I'm asking other real life people who I've never met to pay to read it. Seems absurd, if I was continuing the honesty theme. And, more importantly, a little far fetched.

What I do love about Goodreads is, it's so wonderfully obvious to see that there ARE readers out there. And dear readers, I am so glad for you.

But I can't escape the fact that if I find it difficult to pick up a book and read a novel these days (let alone anything from an indie author), it's a lot to ask that anyone else may pay for the privilege from me.

Anyway, none of that matters, because I didn't do it to become rich or famous (obvs), and I didn't do it for much else than the fact I felt it was in me, and needed to get out.

On that note, I have a very exciting new idea for a totally new franchise, which I'm excited to say I've started, and that's really what tomorrow is about, the next novel, and the one after that....
