Musing by D.K.Silver

Happy post Christmas and Happy pre New Years! I'm writing this first blog in a beautiful rental home on the west shore of Tahoe lake. It's pouring rain and as soon as the temperature drops, the rain will turn to snow.
(I cannot guarantee that these blog posts will be brilliant :)
That said, I'm looking ahead to 2023, the year I launch a series I've been working on for at least 10 years. 10 years and I'm still at it without having published a single poem, or short story or full length novel. I've written plenty but have not published a thing.

2023 is the year where I will move from invisibility to visibility and I am ready.

I think it's important to do things when you're ready, when YOU'RE ready, abiding by your timeline. This has been a huge journey for me, one full of all manner of mistakes and lucky breaks and breakdowns. I haven't put my life on hold to write, I live as fully as I can each day so that when I do sit down to write, I am fully present and ready to focus on telling a great story.
The Weight Of Flowers is a great story––it's not an easy story; terrible things happen. You will be moved, perhaps you'll cry, perhaps you'll need to walk away from the story for a bit to calm, perhaps you'll binge read it cover to cover. Perhaps you'll regret the purchase. Regardless of how The Weight Of Flowers affects you, you will be changed.
