Paper towns important lessons

Paper towns book gives depth and provided a window into a varied array of other people’s lives and experiences, that might help us grow and improve ourselves. This book also shifts the reader to look at life, relationships, and everything around us.

The book Paper Towns by John Green is all about a boy named Quentin who is infatuated with a girl named Margo Roth Spiegelman. She is an adventurous girl and a famous personality in the university. Quentin and Margo became friends until Margo suddenly moved away one night and left him a clue.

“That’s always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they’re pretty. It’s like picking your breakfeast cereals based on color instead of taste.”

John Green, Paper Towns

One of the lessons that this book teaches the reader is to never judge people based on their appearance. Quentin thought that margo was beautiful, smart, and rich but didn’t know anything about her personality. In his mind, she was perfect because she looked like the type of girl that he wanted to date kind of the idealized Margo too much that he painted Margo’s persona and he eventually fall in love with it.

The second lesson that the book wants to imply is that there comes a time in everyone’s life when you need to make change for yourself whether it is physical or emotional or even spiritual. You need to find out what makes you happy and what you want out of life because if you don’t figure it out now then you’ll regret it later on when it’s too late.

The third one is sometimes people come into your life for a reason and sometimes people come into your life because they’re passing through but they leave an impression on you no matter how long they were there or how short they were there because they changed something within you.

Paper towns is a commendable book that taught some really important lessons that will surely make sense in the long run. The book is a great coming-of-age story with some pinch of romance and an endearing protagonist that makes up a meaningful read.

The lesson learned from this book is one of being yourself and finding where you belong and what you truly love that gives you peace and comfort. The Paper Towns lesson is especially important for young adults as they try to navigate life to find their way in the world.
