A few more character designs for #InorOutPictureBook

It was tricky to decide which duo worked best and these guys are the only characters in the book so it felt super important to get them right! I coloured a few sketches to see which colour combo/style worked best.🎨

🐱Early on I sketched Cat a lot using an Ecoline pen that I found lying around. It turned out to be a lovely shade of bluey grey. I became a bit obsessed with it and thought it suited Cat perfectly. I really love these kinds of random happy accidents along the way!

I didn’t want Dog & Cat to be too similar in colour or too drab and dark. Everyone felt that the characters & colours in slide 1 worked best (complete with bluey grey cat - yay!)🐱🐶 So I got to work developing them a little more! ✏️✨
