Hi all,

I pondered long and hard about my shelves now that I've got an 'author profile'. I have been a Goodreads user for years and up until today I had well over 800 books shelved on this profile.

In the end, I have decided to trim my shelves down to only those books I have rated 5-stars. My absolute favourites and those from which I have drawn a lot of inspiration and influence.

My thought process being: even though I was never a cruel reviewer, I was nevertheless honest to my own tastes, which resulted in the occasional low rating. As an author now myself, I did not want to seem like I was deriding anybody else's work just because it went against my own tastes, so instead I want to focus only on the stories that I love.
