After I wrote this little post about being surprised that High Times in the Low Parliament is a Nebula finalist, I realized I didn’t say why I was surprised by it getting a Nebula nod. "We need more comedies in SF and Fantasy."
Totally agree! I guess they are hard to write? I read an ancient Wodehouse farce (out of copyright), still LOL funny and new to me. Of course there aren't many comic writers who can top Wodehouse! Well, John Scalzi. I expect you've seen his wonderful "Automated Customer Service"? Google if not, and you can thank me later. I don't recall the title of yours, but I hope you return to the world of (if memory serves ) two detectives trying to solve a tourist's murder on a cruise-ship world. Great stuff! Please remind me of the title so I can reread it! Reprinted in one of the Year's Best anthols, I think.
Just ask if you want the Wodehouse, and I'll dig it out. Free online, if in a wonky format. Totally worth it!
