As a writer and aficionado of action adventure and suspenseful techno- thrillers, I was elated to see that there will be a new James Bond novel coming out in 2013. Author, William Boyd has been invited  by the estate of Bond creator, Ian Fleming to write the book. See the Reuters article

Could we be seeing a gentle nudge toward the genre of action-adventure novels?  A  resurgence in the somewhat lost, scintillating  world of page turning thrillers? Could the strangle-hold of the gothic; Vampires, Werewolves and things that growl in the night be losing their dominance in the literary jungle?

Nah..

Alas, such are the dreams of an action writer.
