Profile cleaning time!

Wow, I shouldn't be surprised to discover that there are several authors that are now using my name... At least they are writing coloring books and romance novels. Anyway, I've notified the Librarians about removing them from my profile.

I'm doing Bold Line hand embroidery designing and stitching, which means I'm using #10 crochet cotton thread with a very big and sharp needle. The designs are from my Japanese and Ainu heritage, with a little Celtic mixed in. What a multicultural journey I've been on these last couple years!

But I love reading the history of my ancestors' cultures and learning about their style of sewing and needlework. For instance, how ancient is hand stitching? It probably dates back 40,000 years or more, since a mammoth bone needle has been discovered. Amazing, but it makes sense.

If you want a look at some of the items that I've stitched and made, please visit my Embroidery Gallery to see them for yourself. Wander around my site to see where and what I'm teaching and lecturing about, with new choices available. I'm doing Zoom for online bookings or in person, if travel is possible.
