Reviews
I am contacting other authors on this blog because I am very confused about what to do or how to react. I got two bad reviews on my book, and it is obvious that the readers of these reviews do not know history. I was a history teacher for thirty years and taught American history, and I love the back stories that are not in history books. In my book, I followed the timeline of the American Revolution and wove a story around it. I also had three people in my story that are ESL people, and I wrote the phonetically correct dialogue. Because of this, I was called a racist, and they said there was no plot. My plot reflects the timeline of the Revolution. Also, I did a stupid thing and spent six thousand dollars on an editor I loved, and both reviews said you could not read this book for spelling errors. The editor was very careful about all spelling and punctuation. When I reported the reviews to Goodreads, they found that I had commented on them and only took down my comments, defending myself. I found one of these people who wrote a bad review on Facebook for my book, and they do not have a degree of any kind, yet they have reviewed close to 500 books. Any suggestions?
