The Proving of a New Homeopathic Remedy

1st July 2023 10.16am

Proving A New Homeopathic Remedy

I'm not too sure what possessed me to want to do another homeopathic proving, as they're very time intensive and also take a LOT of organising.

However, after having a little word with myself, I made the decision to start this one and do everything I could to make it as well organised as possible.

I checked I wouldn't be doing it during a Mercury retrograde and I'm not.

I put the call out to my Newsletter subscribers, and 16 people kindly volunteered.

After a few days, four dropped out for various important and legitimate reasons, leaving me with 12 provers.

Then I put the call out for some male provers and two gentlemen kindly volunteered.

Then a new subscriber asked to be included and a homeopath colleague also got in touch, so I'm now back to 16 provers: 14 ladies and two gentlemen.

The proving starts today for the UK provers: 1st July 2023 at 9am local time.

Five provers live in USA

One in New Zealand

One in Spain

One in Jersey

Eight in UK

Here is the map showing where everyone is located

Map of Provers

The reason I'm happy about the location of the provers will become evident when the proving substance is revealed.

I've already had two doses of the remedy, just so I know what the provers will feel like as the proving progresses.

The prover in Spain, the prover in New Zealand and the four USA provers haven't received their remedies yet as I only posted their remedies on Sunday 25th and it can take five to seven working days for letter-post to arrive.

They will start their provings (obz) when their remedies arrive and I'll update when that happens.

I'm aiming on updating my blog during the proving so that I can have a record of the actual process of the proving, from my perspective.

Big thanks and a massive shout-out to the provers, the two supervisors and to John Lee at Helios for actually creating the remedy, which I will write more about when the proving is completed.

This blog is purely about my process.

Tuesday 4th July 9.31pm

Now I don't know if I'm proving the remedy in full swing or not

I think I might be.

Today has been chaotic

I'd got some figures wrong last night and corrected them this morning for a relative.

Then I realised I hadn't done our food order, so rushed to do that and couldn't find my usual slot.

A prover who had not been in contact, got in contact again and we spoke online, so now I have another person to keep an eye on.

17 provers.

I can't possibly take on anymore provers so anyone else who asks will be a 'No'.

One prover didn't show up for her supervision yesterday. I sent her a note on Skype. I hope she's OK.

Another prover had to change her appt from this evening and I slotted her in on Thursday then realised I was looking at the wrong week in my diary, so I rang her and we changed the date/time to 7.30pm then I realised that I didn't have that time and had to email her to change it again to 7pm

Meeting with other supervisors on Thursday morning. Glad about that.

I'm now panicking that the remedies haven't arrived in the USA seven days after posting them but I know that's not realistic and I need to wait a little longer before I completely panic...

Brighton, Northampton, Wales, London, Wiltshire have all had their remedies.

So have Jersey and Spain.

Just the five in USA and the newbie who re-contacted today are waiting, but that one lives in Hampshire and theirs should arrive by Friday at latest...

Four USA provers, from the original mailing ought to have their remedies tomorrow.

And New Zealand

Thank goodness it's my day off tomorrow and I can relax a tad

I'm going to go to Butterfly World in Swindon. Hoping the butterflies will be 'awake' and I can see some fluttering around. I rang yesterday and asked it they had any Painted Ladies, but no-one rang me back. I think they're short-staffed as they had an advert on their site for someone to work with the butterflies.

THEN I noticed I'd double-booked with a friend for this Friday. I have a prover booked in and I'd added her in on top, so I've texted her if she can move forwards by 30 mins (we meet online for Non-Fiction Book Reading Group)

All in all it seems like nothing is 'settled' everything is up-in-the-air, which is a strange sensation.

I'm also wanting to drink orange juice, but I don't have any, so I'm eating the oranges I have in stock but it's not the same. Last week I was eating orange lollies but I've eaten them all now.

My sweet tooth is in overdrive, that better not last or my blood-sugars will go overboard:(

Did some crochet which was nice but I ran out of yarn. I'll have to spin some more but I can't be bothered...

I'm swinging all over the place and I need to settle. which doesn't even seem possible at the moment.

Thursday 6th July, 8.18pm

Georgia and Florida prover's remedies arrived, which is great. Hoping the others arrive soon.

Went to Butterfly World yesterday on my day off, and had SUCH a lovely time.

Butterflies landed on my Summer Festival crochet cardigan and on my hat! Amazing seeing them fluttering around the enclosure. Took loads of photos and videos. I was transfixed. Went round three times. Twice before lunch, then once again afterwards.

Then I went into the garden centre there and bought a California Lilac, and planted it in our garden when I got home.

Beautiful shade of pale blue...

Spoke to prover today who said he : "flicked' around and that he "tends to flitter about and scatter" all very butterfly words.

Next prover said her symptoms were like "gassy, like butterflies in tummy, giddy"

She also said she'd like to drink "elderflower, sweet, fizzy water" and that she wanted to go out and buy honeysuckle and that her sense of smell had increased.

Both provers talked about gardens and being outside.

Great to hear the remedy has started working with/in the provers.

I LOVE provings and I especially love when provers start talking about stuff related to the remedy which confirms to me that something is happening and it's not all random cherry-picking.

Saturday 8th July 10.14am

Urrggghhh. Remdies haven't arrived in Colorado or Ohio :( They have reached new Zealand, Florida, Georgia, which is good and the one sent to California is a week behind everyone else...

Not sure what to do now? Tell them to carry one waiting? Or send again another way? Or ask the Higher Powers for some assistance or just trust that the postal services will eventually land those last two remedies in the right places.

This proving was only supposed to last for the month of July. Maybe I'm being impatient. I blame my fire sign Leo Ascendant.

Still obsessed with butterflies. Bought sooooooo many books. Even downloaded the iRecord Butterflies app and have been busy (a key butterfly word) recording all the butterflies I can photo whenever I go somewhere. I know I could record sightings, but I've challenged myself to photo on my iPhone as many as I can of each different variety. So far I've uploaded 40 piccies.

It certainly is NOT easy to photo a butterfly!

It's not like a bird that you can maybe catch when it feeds somewhere or lands somewhere.

Butterflies only stay for seconds on leaves or flowers or grasses. Then they ping off to somewhere else. They longest they seem to stay is when the sun is shining on them and they'er absorbing the sun's rays to give them some oooomph. Even when they're nectaring, they only stay on the plant long enough for a quick top-up of nectar, then they're off again...

And they pop out of nowhere... one minute they're there, the next they're gone.

It's a real challenge.

The only way to manage it that I've found is to stay near to wherever they seem to like 'being' and hope that one will reverse and come back to where I'm stood. I suppose if I sat still somewhere I might see more. Don't know, I haven't tried that....yet..
