Hey friends, I’m here with an interview with Justin ‘Dozer’ Roark, former SEAL, member of the Agile Security & Rescue team. The book about Dozer and Candy is called Dangerous Secrets.

JG: I’m going to jump right in. What did you think the first time you saw Candy?

A grin flashes on his face, then he scrubs it off with his hand.

Dozer: Fuck. Pardon my French. I thought she was the prettiest thing I’d ever seen. (Laughs) I also thought that there was no way I was taking any other woman on that mission. She was going. She just didn’t know it yet.

JG: You pretty quickly realized she was in trouble. What clued you off?

His eyes flick to mine and narrow.

Dozer: Damn… Well, first there was this ghosty look behind her eyes. And she was a little thin, not bad, but she looked kind of run down. Then I saw those bruises in the shape of handprints on her arms. That was the last fucking straw. I knew she was caught up in something bad and I knew I wasn’t leaving her to deal with that alone.

I wipe at the moisture on my own lashes and take a second to regroup.

JG: Okay. Wow. Well, she was very lucky to have you on her side. How did you feel when you saw where she was living?

His fists clench on his thighs and his eyes fall to the floor. When he looks at me again there’s more primitive animal in him than man.

Dozer: Livid. Disgusted. Determined.

JG: I have to admit, you’re an intimidating man. A lot of readers want to know if you and your SEAL team paid her boss a visit.

He tips his chin.

Dozer: Let’s just say Claymore isn’t the big man he thought he was.

JG: I’m glad that wasn’t me.

Dozer: He wishes it wasn’t him too.

JG: Moving on. When did you know that you weren’t ever letting Candy go?

His eyes go soft for a second as he spreads his hands over his muscular quads.

Dozer: The exact moment? When we kissed in the elevator. I was so fucking proud of her resilience. And once I got my hands on her… It was a done deal.

JG: Things got rough pretty quickly. Did you ever doubt her story?

Dozer: Fuck. That was rough. I’ve killed men. I wasn’t going to judge her.

JG: Do you ever want to go back to Alaska?

Dozer: No. But if she wants to, I’ll follow her anywhere. She might need to go back there for healing and I’ll be by her side every footstep.

JG: I have to say, Dozer, that is a very lovable characteristic about you. That you’re so loyal, and so…

Dozer: Unstoppable. Now you get the nickname.

JG: Yeah. Readers really love that about you. So, what is your plan for the future?

He chuckles and a sheepish grin lingers on his strong features.

Dozer: Keep Candy in bed as much as possible between missions with Agile.

JG: Does she want you to keep working?

Dozer: She does. Candy knows it makes me happy. She loves ranch life and likes the peace and quiet so having some downtime from me probably suits her too.

JG: I kind of doubt that.

He laughs.

Dozer: Recovery time, babe.

JG: (Laughing) Okay, on that note. I’m going to sign off. Do you have any parting words?
