I've never written a blog before. Truth is, I've hardly even read any, but I think this is a chance for me to share a little of myself with you.
So what can I tell you? I'm a little shy. When I was around 11, my older sister and her friend informed me that I was an introvert. I didn't want to be an introvert. I wanted to be an extrovert because that seemed like so much more fun. As it turns out, however, they were right. I am an introvert. Have been all my life. These days I'm pretty happy about that. Being an extrovert seems like much more work. I've seen the pile of Christmas cards my extroverted sister mails out. (My eyes are huge as I tell you this.) Trust me, that's A LOT of work.
All the friends I have running around inside my head and in my stories don't require Christmas or birthday cards. They're very low maintenance that way. And they very seldom upset me. Once in a while, they don't do what i want them to, but that's okay. They've got lives of their own too. (Yes, I know some people may read that and wonder if I need to be checked into a mental hospital. However, if they check me in, they'll probably have to check in all the other authors out there, and then, I'm guessing, we'll all have a great time. So maybe that won't be so bad.)
Anyhow, this kind of rambling conversation--this is very much me. And if you'd like to get to know me better, I encourage you to ask me a question on Good Reads, or check out my website at: https://www.carpersmith.com/
