Insurgent

Currently halfway through Insurgent, and totally loving it. It's really hard to put it down! I do want the relationship between Tobias and Tris to escalate a bit though.

What do you guys think?

Steph I like it a lot so far :) I'm not quite as far though- I'm at the part where they're in the factionless house.

message 2: by Whitley (new)

Whitley I love this book so far I am about 3/4 ways through the book and I hope the Tobias/Tris relationship does escalate more, also I can't believe what happened with Caleb!!! I am so mad at him!!

Sarah I finished this book in one night, it was sooo good!

Just finish reading this book and tell me what you think about Tobias and Tris then.

I wish I could give spoilers but I hate it when people do that to me.

I think that's a great way of describing it! There is so much going on in the book that there isn't enough emphasis put on the romantic stuff between Tris and Tobias. There needs to be though!

message 5: by Sinead (new)

Sinead I haven't even read it yet! I pre-ordered it from Amazon and it's been shipped but I have not receieved it yet. :(

message 6: by Rayana (new)

Rayana Yeeees! I finished the book last night.. Couldn't put it down! Tris and Tobias have some cute moments before the end of the book.. But the main story in the book is the war to take the government down. I don't think the emphasis of the book is or should be on their relationship. But yeah, it would be nice to see more of that. There's just so much going on though.. And everything happens so fast. I really hope this series gets turned into a movie! I feel it's gonna be big like "The Hunger Games"! Can't wait! Ps: Can't wait for you to finish it and do a Gliterature on it! I'm really curious about your thoughts on this book!

Yeah! I hated what the author did to him. Ugh. Poor Tris.. No one left, but Tobias to look out for her...

Lucy (TheBookBelle) Keep reading - the ending is SO amazing!

message 9: by Mona (new)

Mona I feel like this book didnt have that many tobias/tris scenes :( BUT IT WAS STILL AMAZING-can't wait for the next one!

message 10: by Jelena (new)

Jelena oh gosh, i really wish i had my hands on this book! the release date has been delayed here in australia and im so upset! i've been hearing the most amazing things about this book.
i love your reviews elle, you're the reason i read Divergent, and its now officially one of my favourite books! i'll let you know what i think once i get my hands on it :) xx

message 11: by Abigail (new)

Abigail Im hoping to read it soon, probley order it in at the library on wednesday. Divergent was my favourite book in the entire would so i cant wait!

message 12: by Mareen (new)

Mareen omg - I am so jealous of all of you who have started it - Im on a reading ban until after my exams - because I know that if I get it all I will do is sit and read it again and again and omg I will never study haha :)but I recommended it to my friend and she is loving it - I might steal it from her haha

message 13: by Devin (new)

Devin I finished it last night. I totally loved it, except some parts were slightly confusing to me. I absolutely hate when Tobias and Tris fight, but they always make up so that's what matters. One thing I was really confused about is that girl, Susan I think, from Abnegation. She was with them for a while and then she just disappeared, I wasn't sure what happened to her.

message 14: by Akifah (new)

Akifah I bought it on my Kindle yesterday and it's really good so far. I'm up to the bit where Tris and Tobias go to the Candor HQ! This is LITERALLY a page turner LOL!

Hey I was just wondering, what is YA? I see it alot and I'm really curious! lol xx

message 16: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey Wilkinson I'm at the part where Tobias created the alliance with the factionless, and I understand what you are saying elle. I agree

Me too! I can't believe him! Tobias is the only one left! AHHH!

message 23: by Suzanna (new)

Suzanna Hoang I finished Insurgent and it was awesome! But while I was reading it, was I the only one that sided with Tobias and thought Tris was being totally reckless to the point where I wanted to jump in the book and slap her back into reality? But I do hope that their relationship gets to grow a lot more in the next book!

message 24: by Jady (new)

Jady OMG! It's amazing! Not sure what to think of the ending but, I can't wait for a year to read the next one! Who do you relate to the most? Love FourTris (which is what I call the Four/Tris pairing, like a fortress --> strong/unbreakable)

message 25: by S (new)

S I really loved the book, but I wish that the relationship between Tris and Tobias had grown a lot more. After reading Divergent I was really looking forward to -at least- a few sweet moments between them, like the one in the train at the end of the first book..Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens in the 3rd book, can't believe I have to wait a year!

Wow thats really cleaver! I love it :D Fourtris <33

message 27: by DC (new)

DC I agree. I felt like when it was just about to escalate it didn't which disappointed me.

message 28: by Rayana (new)

Rayana Are you finished With Insurgent yet Elle? I'm waiting anxiously for your Gliterature!!

message 29: by Maren (new)

Maren I finished reading Insurgent a week ago, and I'm happy with the way Veronica Roth let the relationship between Tris and Four (I refuse to call him Tobias) develop. I can really understand both of them. Tris has just lost her entire family, except Caleb (SPOILER: the damn traitor) and her breakdown is just totally understandable. But I also understand Tobias being frustrated with the choices Tris makes.

message 30: by Jillie (new)

Jillie I was disappointed with the amount of focus on their relationship as well but at the same time I also understand because of what Tris went through it would be very difficult to adjust to happy go lucky relationship in the middle of a war.

message 31: by Indira (new)

Indira I finished this book in one night, it was sooo good!!!!

message 32: by Cindy (new)

Cindy I needed to take a break from this book!! Been reading all day practically... But omg... I am too emotionally involved in this piece of fiction!

message 33: by Katie (new)

Katie Clark I love that book. I love how you describe your glitteratures

message 34: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Finished it within a few hours and all I can say is "Oh My God". So much emotional response throughout reading it...

message 35: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie I love it!!!!!! Can't wait for the next one. Its all I can think about *sigh*

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Do a review on YouTube about this pleasseeee :)

message 37: by Aimee (new)

Aimee I put it on hold at the library. :)

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

the ending!!!!!!!!! :o

message 39: by Anastasiya (new)

Anastasiya i think i better get on the bandwagon and start reading divergent. im so slow at these things. i just finished reading the hunger games, i think im the last person in the world to read it lol.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm at page 300, or right around page 300.

I personally don't think it's as good as Divergent, especially the first 100 pages or so, but it gets really good, almost as good as the first one. :)

message 41: by Lauren (new)

Lauren None of yalz business! I FINISHED! Mission accomplished. It was AWESOME!

message 43: by Abigail (new)

Abigail I dont think its in the UK yet? :'(

message 44: by Grace (new)

Grace OMG I LOOVE THIS SERIES.

message 45: by Gabby (new)

Gabby I am obsessed with the divergent/insurgent series, though I do agree about their relationship :) Elle, my friends and I get all of our favorite books from your Glitteratures (btw that name is GENIUS). And this includes my friends who don't do youtube! Pleasssseeee do more glitteratures!!

message 46: by Lauren (new)

Lauren i love that series so much

message 47: by Anna (new)

Anna I have been waiting and waiting for this book at the library! I never see any of my friends with books cause their all like "books are for losers" or "I just don't like to read". I don't get why so many people have reserved it cause I what I have learned is teens hate reading..... oh now I know! the librarians hide the most popular books in a closet so everyone is like "wow! readling is really cool now" the librarians are like "haha.... we have the lock and key to the Hunger Games, Divergent, Matched, etc."

message 48: by Anna (new)

Anna oh and btw I love ur vids!!!!!! no seriously.... 8th grade gets out early at my school and i have spent hrs watched ur vids. summer to me is full of Elle, Blair, and Pinecone!!!!!!!!

message 50: by Kelsey (new)
