A slow grin slides over my mom's face, and she looks behind her towards the kitchen, “Meghan, I want to introduce you to my son.”
She walks out and smiles at mom then her eyes connect with mine.

She smiles sweetly at me, causing me to grip the seat behind me so I don’t fall on my ass. 𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚.
“Nice to meet you, Randall.” She says and her voice is so soft, even the shock of hearing my first name doesn’t faze me.
“Nice to meet you, Meghan.”
Her face slightly reddens along her cheekbones. I lift my hand out for her to shake and she slips her hand in mine. I close my fingers along hers, her whole hand being swallowed by mine. From the corner of my eye, I can see my mom grinning at the both of us. I should have listened to her months ago when she mentioned the waitress to me, now I’m fucking kicking myself.
“Mom, is she off work?” I ask without taking my eyes off her.
“Yes.” My mom says gleefully.
Meghan's eyes widen when I ask that. “Okay, I’m taking her out of a date.”
