Email, social media - I'm sure any manner would do. My understanding is that they consistently sell, but they're not the highest sellers and each new volume sells somewhat fewer than the prior. People late to discovering the series are still usually apt to start with the first one, for that matter; its numbers I believe remain high. If you look on Goodreads and Amazon, the first volume has the most ratings and reviews and they dwindle with each following one. It's also a matter of how many other non-Christmas book projects they have in development too, though, and managing that workload.
