Writing a book has always been a lifelong dream of mine. A wish, if you would say. And what writing The Weight of Wishes has taught me is that we control whether or not our dreams come true, and it is the people we surround ourselves with that make us believe in magic. 

That being said, I’m grateful for every single person who has had a hand in bringing this story to life, and I am thankful for the opportunity to share this book with the world. Since sharing this book, every day has made me believe in magic a little more, and the overwhelming support of everyone makes it feel like the stars have truly aligned. 

This story has been my lifeline these past few years. The one consistent thing I’ve had that’s all my own, even when everything else threatens to fall apart. That’s not to say that it hasn’t brought me to tears, because oh boy how I’ve cried over this book, but more were from joy than frustration, and I’ll take each win I can get. 

So in a final, teary-eyed act of magic, The Weight of Wishes releases January 25th, 2024 in honor of my granddad—to celebrate his 70th birthday in his battle against lung cancer. And despite my tears that still flow, I’m thankful to this story for granting me, my granddad, and my family one final wish; and I hope everyone who reads it feels the love behind each and every word in The Weight of Wishes.
