Are you my Reader?
My reader is my friend. My reader and I walk side-by-side and we respect each other’s experience. My reader allows me to be weak and vulnerable, to cry out ‘Why me?’ and allows me to be selfish about the small trials and tribulations in life, that at the time seem like the end of the world. My reader accepts me for who I am. And they know from the bottom of my heart that I accept them for who they are. However, having said that, I do have my limits for I am a human being and I embrace those who love, not those who seek to take our love through hate. My reader has strengths, and weaknesses, light and dark aspects. My reader has an open heart. My reader understands the full context of every statement I make for they know my story. My reader wants to make a difference in the world, just by being who they are. As do I.
My reader is not someone who needs or wants to be proven right. My reader is not someone who believes that any one Holy Scripture, inspired text, religion or god is truer than any other – or perhaps if they do, they do not attempt to convert others to their experience. My reader is not someone who will take offense at my openness, my willingness and right to be angry at God, and to explore what this unique relationship means to me. My reader does not judge or condemn. My reader is not someone who believes there is only love and fluff in the world, and that in our forgiveness of those who cause harm we do not take action to claim our rightful inheritance in this world.
Would I be one of my readers? I cry out “Yes, Yes, I’m a reader of yours Louise! But! Let me think carefully. I too have a conviction that the only right way, is the right of the individual who has an open heart, and seeks this right for all. Is this conviction truer than any other? Will I protect this notion, and protect my friends who seek this path also? The answer is yes. I am strong in my conviction that every individual has a right to be who they were born to be, and that we all deserve to live freely with joy and happiness. If I am honest, do I judge those who seem to cast judgement on others? The answer is yes, and I know why. Judgement is our natural ability to observe our environment, to discern our truth from our false, to seek balance, and to restore harmony. I judge. I seek. I balance. I restore. So, in actual fact, my reader is just any one of you who chooses to be my friend.
Much love and friendship,
Louise
