Life Imitating Art

In my Aniya Hawke mystery detective series, Aniya Hawke has a neural link as part of her bio-technology enhancements. In reality, they have just implanted the first one in humans. This technology is much closer than I realized as I wrote the Aniya Hawke series.

The Aniya Hawke books are a great way to think about this fast-approaching technology, its implications, and the moral and ethical considerations. "Echoes of the Cold" focused on that; my latest book in the series, "The Halcyon Institute," goes much more into bio-genetic enhancements using CRISPR technology.
